How to relax your muscles

Try Progressive Muscle Relaxation. PMR is best done in a calm and silent setting, but you can do it anywhere and at any time to relax and fight anxiety. Here’s how:
- Start by sitting in a comfortable position and calming your breath and heart rate.
- When deep breathing feels easier, focus on one muscle group (leg muscles, back muscles, shoulders or neck). Tense target muscle group while you inhale, and relax them when you exhale.
